Years back, we upgraded all of the classrooms by using real chalkboard paint (instead of just plain black paint) to cover the rough, hand-made cement blocks. But then we took it a step further and installed a whiteboard into each classroom. Now, unfortunately, the typical whiteboards that we have readily available in North America are not to be found in Ghana. And that means they do get worn out and eventually need to be replaced. Earlier in the year, we looked after a couple and then in December another 13 were replaced.
Making it easier for the teachers to write notes and for the students to be able to read them is a win-win!
